SOUTH AMBOY — Employees of Amboy Bank presented a $1,000 donation to the Dowdell Library Foundation of South Amboy on July 25, 2012 at the South Amboy Library. The check was provided by the Amboy Foundation, a charitable arm of Amboy Bank that supports local community organizations.
Dowdell Library Foundation is dedicated to provide resources to create, supplement and enhance library programs. The contribution is expected be used to purchase computers for the library’s children’s room.
Joseph Mullane, vice president of Amboy Bank, and Mariola Jones, manager of the bank’s South Amboy branch presented the check to Mimi Pichey, president of the Dowdell Library Foundation and Elaine Gaber, library Director.
Mimi Pichey noted, “Amboy’s generous donation will provide the children of the South Amboy community the tools they need to keep up with the world around them.”
