In New Jersey, property taxes tend to eat up a large portion of one’s income. This can be especially burdensome if your income is fixed. For those who have paid of a mortgage, remembering to pay your property taxes on time can also be a struggle. That’s why Amboy created our free Save & Pay Property Tax service. Here’s how it works:

1. Visit your local Amboy branch and show us your tax bill.  We’ll develop a plan to see how much you need to save each month to pay your taxes
2. Complete a simple form that authorizes your town to send future tax bills to Amboy.
3. Open a special Tax Payment Account
4. On the first of the month we transfer the budgeted amount from your linked Amboy checking, savings, or money market account
5. Amboy sends your tax payment from your Tax Payment Account in time each quarter

Seniors are an important part of our client base, and we offer a variety of specialized accounts. Senior Citizen Checking is great for those 55 and over. Our In-Retirement Loans allow those aged 62 and over to access the equity in their home, and require no monthly payments. You can give access by making a trusted person joint on your account, but as this will give all parties the same level of access, you may want to opt for a different method. A Trusted Contact is someone who does not have access to your accounts, but is there for Amboy to contact if our staff feels that you are exhibiting irregular behavior or are being scammed.
