Articles

The Article Listing widget uses a combination of Article Page and Article Content content items to display articles in various customizable layouts, featuring each article's title, publication date, summary, and optional thumbnail image.

Properties:

• Intro – Enter introductory content to be displayed above the articles
• Articles Path – Select the parent page of the articles to be displayed
• Layout– Select the design layout for the articles
  • Image Top – Image displayed above the publication date, title, and summary
  • Image Full – Image fills the entire card with the publication date, title, and summary overlaid at the bottom
  • No Image – Only the publication date, title, and summary are displayed
  • Content Bottom – 
  • Image Content Full –
  • Image Full Content Left –
  • List – Smaller image displayed to the left of the publication date, title, and summary
  • List/No Image – Only the publication date, title, and summary are displayed
• Hide Summaries? – Enable this option to hide article summaries
• Items Per Row – Enter the number of articles to display per row (1-4)
• Items Per Page – Enter the number of articles to display per page; set to "0" or leave blank to disable pagination
• CTA Label – Enter a default call-to-action label for each article; individual articles can define their own CTA
• CTA Button Color – Select the background color for styling the CTA link as a button
• Anchor ID – Enter a single word to create an anchor link for direct navigation to this item
• CSS Class – Enter custom CSS classes for additional styling and design customization
• Hide Widget – Enable this option to hide the entire widget from view

Two content types are required to create articles on the site: Article Page (providing the article's URL) and Article Content (providing the article’s actual content). The Article Listing widget is used to showcase the articles.

Article Page Fields:

• Page Name – Enter the name of the article as it appears in the Content Tree
• Article – Select an existing or create a new Article content item in the Content Hub
• CTA Label – Enter a call-to-action label for the article
• Accessible CTA Label – Enter an accessible version of the CTA label to be used by screen readers
• Canonical URL – Enter an absolute URL to override the article’s default canonical URL
• Exclude From Search? – Enable this option to prevent the article from being indexed by the site or external search engines
• Search Description – Enter a short description to help with SEO and site search functionality
• Search Keywords – Add keywords to improve the page’s SEO performance
• URL Slug – Update the default URL slug for the article; this field is found under the URLs tab after the article is created

Article Content Fields:

• Content Item Name – Enter the name of the article as it appears in the Content Hub
• Title – Enter the title of the article
• Page CSS Class – Add custom CSS classes for advanced styling and design customization
• Publication Date – Set the publication date for the article; this value also determines the article’s order in listings
• Content – Provide the main body content for the article using the formattable content block to add text, images, or other elements
• Image – Select an image from the Content Hub to be featured above, or floated to the left or right of the article's content
• Image Placement – Select the placement for the image in relation to the content; Above Full Width, floating Left, or Floating Right
• Summary – Enter a brief summary of the article to be displayed in listings
• Thumbnail Image – Select or create an image in the Content Hub to represent the article in listings
