What is a Digital Wallet?

A Digital Wallet contains digital versions of your debit and/or credit cards that are stored in Wallet apps on your mobile phone. Some examples of Wallet apps are Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Google Pay. To help protect your security, your card number and personal information are not stored.
 

Where can I use it?

• In-Store: Pay without taking out your wallet wherever you see the Contactless Symbol. Just hold your phone up to the symbol on the terminal.
• Online: Checkout quickly with just a few clicks when your Digital Wallet is available as a payment option at checkout.
• In-App: Make purchases on your favorite apps with just a few taps.

How safe are Digital Wallets?

In a word, very. Your actual card number is not stored on your phone or shared with most merchants. Instead, Digital Wallets use a security technique called "tokenization," which assigns a virtual card number and is associated only with the Digital Wallet and mobile phone you use. Your Digital Wallet can't be used to pay without your authentication, so your information is protected, even in the event of your phone being lost or stolen.
 

How do I get started?

To get started, simply choose the Wallet app on your phone, add a new card, and enter your Amboy debit card information.
