New Year, Newly Enacted Cybersecurity Measures
New Year, Newly Enacted Cybersecurity Measures
January 4, 2023
With the surge of remote workers convincingly here to stay, the technology for virtual private networks have been unable to keep up with the high demands and the subsequent high risk to cyberattacks. Zero-trust is an environment that requires all users, despite being identified and authenticated, to continuously be validated to keep allowing access to the network’s applications and data.
Considered so critical to maintaining secure environments, the Biden administration has mandated federal agencies adopt a zero-trust architecture, or ZTA, by the end of fiscal 2024. Viewed to be the fastest growing form of network security, zero-trust network access, or ZTNA, is expected to grow by more than 30% during 2023 as VPN networks will be replaced entirely within a couple years.
